A Senior Electrical Engineer for The Brazina Group and primarily covers the Capitol Region and Central Pennsylvania. Jim is located in Harrisburg.
Qualifications: Jim has a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, and is a Certified Energy Manager by The Association of Energy Engineers. He was also past president of the Susquehanna Chapter of the Illuminating Engineering Society (I.E.S.).
Experience: Jim has been over 32 years experience in the electric utility industry employed by PPL Electric Utilities. During his career at PPL, as a distribution technician, he designed overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. As a power engineer, he assisted customers with obtaining new or upgraded electric service at 12 kV and above (medium and high voltage). As an account manager, he assisted customers with energy audits, billing concerns, rate analysis, and power quality issues. He managed construction of new electrical substations, expansion of existing substations, construction of new transmission lines, customer requested relocations of transmission poles and towers, and the reconstruction and maintenance activities within the underground medium and low voltage network in downtown Harrisburg.
